  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, grated
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Finely chop onions, garlic, and mushrooms. Cook bacon until crispy, then crumble.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, mushrooms, bacon, Swiss cheese, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, onions, garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  4. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.
  5. Shape into a loaf and place on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  7. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
