- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, grated
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Finely chop onions, garlic, and mushrooms. Cook bacon until crispy, then crumble.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, mushrooms, bacon, Swiss cheese, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, onions, garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.
- Shape into a loaf and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
