Description
This cloud coffee (aka Dalgona coffee) is a whipped, frothy, and dreamy drink made with instant coffee, sugar, and water, served over milk—perfectly photo-worthy and absolutely delicious!
Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons instant coffee (regular or decaf)
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons hot water
- 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based, cold or hot)
- Optional: dash of cinnamon or cocoa powder for garnish
- Optional: vanilla extract for added flavor
- Optional: ice cubes if making an iced version
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine instant coffee, sugar, and hot water.
- Whip vigorously by hand for 3–5 minutes, or use a hand mixer for 1–2 minutes, until light, foamy peaks form.
- Fill a glass with milk of your choice. Add ice if making an iced version, or gently heat the milk for a warm version.
- Spoon the whipped coffee mixture over the milk. Smooth the top into a dome and serve immediately. Stir gently before sipping.
Notes
Use boiling water for best results. Sugar helps stabilize the foam, so reducing it may affect texture. Store leftover foam in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours—rewhip slightly before using again.
