- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ⅓ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup melted butter (for coating)
- ¾ cup sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and mix well.
- Alternately add the dry ingredients and milk, mixing until just combined.
- Fill muffin cups about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly, then dip each puff in melted butter, followed by the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Serve warm and enjoy!

For a variation, fill the puffs with jam or cream cheese before baking for an extra surprise!
