Description
A rich and visually striking dessert that combines the moist texture of green velvet cake with creamy Oreo cheesecake, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 24 Oreos (crushed into crumbs)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 tbsp sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
- 4 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp green food coloring
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (optional for extra richness)
- 1/2 cup whipped cream (for topping)
- 10–12 Oreos (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Combine the crushed Oreos and melted butter in a bowl. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated, then press into the bottom of a springform pan to form an even crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract and green food coloring until evenly combined. Mix in sour cream and heavy cream for a rich texture.
- Pour the filling over the cooled Oreo crust.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes, until edges are set but the center is slightly jiggly. Cool in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour before transferring to the refrigerator to chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Once chilled, spread whipped cream on top and decorate with additional Oreos for a stunning presentation.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
Notes
For best results, let the cheesecake chill overnight. Use gel food coloring for a vibrant green hue, and ensure your cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps.
