  • Author: iyma hernandes
  • Total Time: 1 hour 20 minutes + overnight chilling
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Description

A rich and visually striking dessert that combines the moist texture of green velvet cake with creamy Oreo cheesecake, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 Oreos (crushed into crumbs)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tbsp sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • 4 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp green food coloring
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (optional for extra richness)
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream (for topping)
  • 1012 Oreos (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Combine the crushed Oreos and melted butter in a bowl. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated, then press into the bottom of a springform pan to form an even crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then cool.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract and green food coloring until evenly combined. Mix in sour cream and heavy cream for a rich texture.
  5. Pour the filling over the cooled Oreo crust.
  6. Bake for 45-55 minutes, until edges are set but the center is slightly jiggly. Cool in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour before transferring to the refrigerator to chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  7. Once chilled, spread whipped cream on top and decorate with additional Oreos for a stunning presentation.
  8. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, let the cheesecake chill overnight. Use gel food coloring for a vibrant green hue, and ensure your cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps.
