Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 small green cabbage (about 5 cups shredded)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, minced
- 3 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)

- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5–6 minutes.
- Add in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the shredded cabbage and cook for 6–8 minutes until softened but still crisp.
- Mix the soy sauce, hoisin or honey, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes in a bowl. Pour over the stir fry and toss to coat.
- Let simmer for 2–3 minutes to meld flavors and thicken the sauce.
- Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if using.
