Description
A zesty, bold, and utterly addictive popcorn snack loaded with dill pickle flavor—perfect for movie night or any time you’re craving something savory and crunchy.
Ingredients
Scale
- ½ cup popcorn kernels (or 10 cups popped)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (or vegan butter)
- 1 tablespoon dill pickle juice
- 1½ teaspoons dried dill
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon mustard powder (optional)
- ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: pinch of cayenne or chili powder for heat
Instructions
- Pop the popcorn using your preferred method. For stovetop: heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium heat, add a few kernels and wait for them to pop. Add the rest, cover, and shake occasionally until popping slows.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Stir in pickle juice, dill, garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well combined.
- Place popped popcorn in a large bowl. Drizzle the pickle seasoning over it while tossing to coat. Do this in batches for even coverage.
- Let the popcorn sit for 2–3 minutes to absorb flavor before serving.
Notes
For an extra crispy bite, bake the seasoned popcorn at 300°F for 5–10 minutes. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
