Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup Bisquick (or similar baking mix)
  • Optional: sliced tomatoes, cooked bacon, pickles for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Spread the beef mixture evenly into the bottom of the pie dish. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and Bisquick until smooth. Pour the batter evenly over the beef and cheese.
  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the pie cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite burger toppings or sauces.
