Description
Taco Ranch Bites are everything you want in a savory snack: crunchy, cheesy, loaded with zesty Tex-Mex flavor, and super quick to make. These bite-sized wonders disappear fast from any snack table!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 2 tbsp water
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tbsp ranch seasoning mix
- 1 tube refrigerated crescent dough (or 30 mini phyllo shells)
- Optional: chopped green onions, sliced jalapeños, or black olives for topping
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any grease, then stir in taco seasoning and water. Cook for 2–3 more minutes, then remove from heat.
- In a bowl, combine the warm taco meat with cream cheese, cheddar, and ranch seasoning. Stir until smooth and cheesy.
- If using crescent dough, cut it into squares and press each into a muffin tin cavity. If using phyllo shells, just set them on a baking sheet.
- Scoop 1 tablespoon of the filling into each dough cup or shell. Add any toppings now if desired.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes, or until the dough is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Cool slightly and serve warm with sour cream, salsa, or guacamole for dipping!
Notes
Make ahead and freeze before baking—just pop in the oven when ready to eat! Don’t overfill the shells. Serve warm for best texture.
