Description

A crispy, cheesy, and flavorful dish that merges the richness of tuna with the gooey goodness of melted cheese. Perfect for a quick meal, snack, or appetizer!


Ingredients

  • 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or panko)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine drained tuna, shredded cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, parsley, and lemon juice. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
  2. Shape the mixture into small patties, about 3-4 inches in diameter.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the patties for 3-5 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove from heat and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or over a salad.

Notes

For a low-carb version, replace breadcrumbs with almond flour. Patties can be baked at 375°F for 15-20 minutes if preferred over frying.
